Built differently

Most forum software is a decade old. BlazeLF is built from the ground up with modern security and UX expectations.

Passkey-only auth

Passkey-only auth

No passwords. Users authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, their favourite password manager or a hardware key — fast, phishing-resistant, and frictionless.

Full data ownership

Full data ownership

Your server, your data. Deploy on any Linux VPS with Docker Compose. No vendor lock-in, no telemetry, no third-party data sharing.

Lightweight & fast

Lightweight & fast

Built on .NET 10 and Blazor WebAssembly. Minimal resource footprint — runs comfortably starting on a $6/mo VPS with room to spare.

Security-first design

Security-first design

In addition to passkeys, we built in refresh token rotation, rate limiting, IP geolocation, impossible travel detection, and automated threat blocking from day one.

Admin & moderation tooling

Admin & moderation tooling

Full admin dashboard with user management, content moderation, automod rules, a reports queue, and detailed security audit log.

Modern forum UX

Modern forum UX

Threaded discussions, Markdown-powered posts, real-time notifications, user profiles with avatars and badges, and a clean dark UI.

Frequently asked questions

What does a BlazeLF license include?
A perpetual license to self-host BlazeLF on your own infrastructure. You get the full codebase, Docker Compose setup, and documentation. Future updates are included for 12 months from purchase.
What are the server requirements?
Any Linux VPS running Docker. We recommend at minimum 1 vCPU and 1 GB RAM — a $6/mo Hetzner or DigitalOcean instance is plenty for most communities. PostgreSQL and Redis are bundled in the Compose stack.
Can I run multiple communities on one license?
A single license covers one deployment (one domain). If you want to run multiple separate forum instances, you will need a license per instance.
Do my users need passkeys? What if their device does not support it?
BlazeLF is passkey-first, meaning registration and login use WebAuthn. All modern browsers and devices support this. Users also receive recovery codes as a fallback in case they lose access to their authenticator.
Is there a hosted or managed option?
Not currently. BlazeLF is purely self-hosted software — you bring your own server. If managed hosting becomes available in future, existing license holders will be notified first.
What support is included?
Licenses include email support for setup and deployment questions. Community support via a dedicated BlazeLF forum is also available.
